NYU Game Center Student Showcase : 2015-18

Our annual showcase highlights the daring and innovative work of the graduate and undergraduate students of the NYU Game Center. Check out over 60 projects ranging from one week experiments in our Prototype Studio course to year-long thesis and capstone work. Games first debuted at our annual Student Show have gone on to critical and commercial success, winning major awards, showing in festivals all over the world, and launching on console, PC, and mobile. Anything But Games : 2016-18

Anything But Games is a bi-monthly game-free open mic. It is composed of four short talks with a Q&A session afterward. The event highlights the diverse intellectual backgrounds and life experiences of the NYU Game Center's students, faculty, alumni, and staff. It serves as a friendly break from the demands of coursework, a networking opportunity for alumni, and an escape from games culture.

Cineplexer : 2014-18

Cineplexer is a bimonthly celebration that takes attendees on a half day movie triatholon through the city’s repertory and mainstream movie theaters. Travel between venues, food/drinks, and lively discussion of the day’s flicks will punctuate each screening. The series asks you to remember that at any given moment usually between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00am a great film is being shown on a big ass screen minutes away from you and admission to such a spectacle is an outrageous few dollars more than you would normally want to spend on a brief escape from reality.

Bent Festival : 2009-10

Bent Festival is an annual art and music festival celebrating DIY electronics, hardware hacking, and circuit bending. Each year The Tank invites artists from around the globe to perform music with their circuit bent instruments, teach workshops to adults and children, create art installations, and showcase the state of DIY electronics and circuit-bending culture.
